About HYPE
Our Mission
At HYPE (Homeschool Youth Program for Extracurriculars), our mission is to enrich the educational experience of homeschool youth by providing a diverse range of extracurricular activities. We recognize the unique needs of homeschooling families and aim to fill the gap by offering opportunities for socialization, skill development, and personal growth outside the traditional classroom setting.
Our Team
Luis "Coach" Cruz is the Executive Director of HYPE and an Army Veteran that medically retired after 13 years of service in 2021. Later in 2021, he started working at North Point Christian Academy (NPCA) as the P.E. teacher and Athletic Director. He is the P.E. Coach for HYPE and Head Coach for all sports groups.
Erika Alvarez del Castillo is the head of school at NPCA and is a founding member of HYPE.
Location
We are co-located with North Point Christian Academy at North Pointe Baptist Church in Hurst, TX.
