Codes of Conduct

Athlete's Code of Conduct

  1. I will play for fun!
  2. I will work hard to improve my skills.
  3. I will follow my coach’s directions and suggestions.
  4. I will be honest, fair, and respectful to others at all times.
  5. I will arrive at practice on time and be ready to dedicate my attention to my coaches.
  6. I will remember that athletic contests and practice sessions are educational experiences and opportunities.
  7. I will aim to learn all I can from sports.
  8. I will encourage my teammates and recognize good efforts.
  9. I will not disrespect my teammates, my coach, the opponents, or the officials.
  10. I will not argue with an official’s decision.
  11. I will always shake hands with my opponents after a game.

Parent and Spectator's Code of Conduct

  1. I will be a positive role model at every game and practice.
  2. I will do my part to keep sports fun and positive for every youth participant
  3. I will model good sportsmanship for all youth participants.
  4. I will not encourage any behaviors or practices that would endanger the health and well-being of the players.
  5. I will respect the decisions of officials and coaches.
  6. I will not engage in any violence or verbal threats or use any profanity.
  7. I will stay positive and try my best when participating in HYPE sport events (Parents v kids, golf lessons, etc.).
  8. I will put the emotional and physical well-being of youth participants ahead of a personal desire to win.
  9. I will read the discipline and late policies.

Discipline Policy

1st and 2nd Offense (Discipline Reports)

 A Discipline Report is a form that will outline the situation, describe the behavior observed, and outline any consequences given. The Discipline Report has two signatures required. One from a parent or guardian, and the other from the Athlete. Verbal Warnings will always be given prior to a Discipline Report being issued. A meeting with the coach can be requested after the second Discipline Report is issued. 

3rd Offense (Subject for Removal)

Subject for removal from the program. A parent/guardian meeting with the coach will be required prior to the athlete returning for sessions. If dismissed from the program, the athlete will be barred from participating in any HYPE events for no less than 6 months.

4th Offense (if applicable)

Removal from current program and barred from participating in any HYPE events for no less than 6 months.

Late Policy

Parents will be given a 5-minute grace period after which late pick-up fees will begin to accrue at $1.00 per minute/per household. Late pick-up fees shall be paid by the end of the next month. If a child has not been picked up 10 minutes after the program has ended, the staff will start contacting the child(ren)'s parents and their authorized persons on the emergency list. Repeated late pick-ups can lead to dismissal from HYPE.
